Tree planting in deep meaning does not only mean of planting trees. But it is beyond that for me. Tree planting is something with greater sense. It means of reviving the poisoned and abused Mother Earth. This is because Mother Earth before is abundant with trees.

Importance of tree planting

Trees contribute to their environment by providing oxygen, improving air quality, climate amelioration, conserving water, preserving soil, and supporting wildlife. During the process of photosynthesis, trees take in carbon dioxide and produce the oxygen we breathe.

◾ Reducing Climate Change

Harmful CO2 contributes to climate change, the biggest current problem the world has to deal with. Trees, however, help fight it. They absorb CO2 removing it from the air and storing it while releasing oxygen. Annually, an acre of trees absorbs the amount of carbon dioxide equal to driving your car 26 000 miles. Trees are our main survival tools; only one tree can produce enough oxygen for four people.

◾Purifying Air

It is well known that trees do purify the air. They absorb pollutant gases such as nitrogen oxides, ozone, ammonia, sulfur dioxide. Trees also absorb odors and act as a filter as little particulates get trapped in leaves. A mature acre of trees can yearly provide oxygen for 18 people.

◾Cooling down the streets

Removing trees and replacing them with heat absorbing asphalt roads and buildings makes cities much warmer.

◾Natural Air Conditioning

An air conditioner is a system or a machine that treats air in a defined, usually enclosed area via a refrigeration cycle in which warm air is removed and replaced with cooler air. In construction, a complete system of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is referred to as HVAC.

Except for cooling, trees also help to save water. Because of the shade they provide, water will evaporate slowly from low vegetation

Stormwater can be full of phosphorus pollutants and nitrogen. Without trees, stormwater flows into oceans and waters without being filtered. Trees break the rainfall and allow water to enter the earth and seep into the soil.

The water they say is life, and indeed they were right. With about 70% of the earth’s cover being water, it undeniably becomes one of our greatest resources.
As young students, we learned about the various ways to conserve water; coming to think of it, water is used in almost every important human chores and processes. It is an important element in both domestic as well as industrial purposes. However, a closer inspection of our water resources today, give us a rude shock.
Infested with waste ranging from floating plastic bags to chemical waste, oour water bodies have turned into a pool of poison. In simple words, the contamination of water bodies means water pollution.

Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies (like oceans, seas, lakes, rivers, aquifers, and groundwater) usually caused due to human activities. Water pollution is any change in the physical, chemical or biological properties of water that will have a detrimental consequence of any loving organism.
Thereby the abuse of lakes, ponds, oceans, rivers, reservoirs, etc is water pollution.
Pollution of water occurs when substances that will modify the water in a negative fashion are discharged in it. This discharge of pollutants can be direct as well as indirect.

Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that cause adverse change. Pollution can take the form of chemical subtances or energy, such as noise, heat or light. In 2015, pollution killed 9 million people in the world. Major forms of pollution include: Air pollution, light pollution, littering, noise pollution, plastic pollution, soil contamination, radioactive contamination, thermal pollution, visual pollution, water pollution.

We choose air pollution beacuse nowadays air pollution is very observable especially here at Sindangan. Air pollution is one such form that refers to the contamination of the air, irrespective of indoors or outside.

Causes of air pollution

Air pollution happens because of the burning of fossil fuels, agricultural activities, Exhaust from factories and industries, mining operation and indoor air pollution. Here in sindangan air pollution is caused by constructional roads.

Effects of air pollution
High levels of air pollution can cause an increased risk of heart attack, wheezing, coughing, and breathing problems, and irritation of the eyes, nose, and throat. Air pollution can also cause worsening of existing heart problems, asthma, and other lung complications.
